Intro to PC Keyboarding/Typing:
A comprehensive course, starting from base zero, teaching the student TOUCH typing on the
computer keyboard. Generally, the student will be able to type from 25 to 35 WPM minimum at
the completion of this course. Those who have had typing before will review keyboarding
functions and then concentrate on building speed.
Ten Key:
This course teaches the numerical pad on a standard PC keyboard. General goal is an average
of 80 strokes per minute. At the completion of this course a student could be employable as a
customer service rep., data entry clerk, accounts recievable/payable clerk, or cashier.
Windows XP:
Students learn the basic and intermediate fundamentals of the newest Windows operating
system in use today. The courseteaches the student how to organize and manage files, folders
and storage devices, install programs, personalize screens and use the mouse. This course is
the prerequisite to all other Microsoft classes offered at this school.
Internet
Basic course in learning how to use the internet for "surfing the web", research and create their
own email account. Job search training using the Nevada OSOS website, includes how to
search and apply for jobs online, and how to create an online resume.
